Heather Aran Yarn

Aran weight, which knits to roughly 18 stitches over 4 inches on 5mm needles. Heavy enough that a sweater moves quickly, fine enough that cables still show definition.

Heathered means several shades of fleece are blended before spinning, so the colour has depth instead of reading flat. It also hides small tension inconsistencies, which is forgiving on a first cabled project.
