Coastline Cotton Yarn

Mercerised cotton, which means it has been treated under tension to straighten the fibre. That is what gives it the slight sheen and the strong, even colour.

It has almost no elasticity compared to wool, so it is better suited to structured pieces, dishcloths, market bags and summer tops than to ribbing that needs to spring back.

Cotton grows when wet and does not fully recover. Block flat and never hang a finished piece to dry.
