Maple Hollow

A hand-knotted wool rug in undyed natural, built with a dense pile that springs back rather than matting down. The wool is longer-staple, which is what keeps it from shedding the way cheaper wool rugs do in the first year.

Undyed means the colour comes from the fleece, so it shifts slightly across the rug. That variation is the point. It also means there is no dye to fade in sunlight.

Wool holds about a third of its weight in moisture before it feels damp, so it handles humidity well and resists staining longer than cotton. Blot spills, do not rub.
